The Tension Between Us - moving into a new era of connection.
This training and discussion session (offered as a short-form event or a more indepth series) exposes the universal source for tension in work environments, as well as the practical opportunity for connection and collaboration in the modern organisation. It explores the counter-intuitive systemic principles needed to achieve meaningful success together as a cohort of people.
And if you think this is about the usual focus areas of leadership training, you might be in for a bit of a surprise.
Flow in people's work together (as opposed to in the bubble of a person's own task only), is when they interact in ways that help the group clear obstacles, channel key information, identify and solve complex problems, reduce risk and ultimately achieve the goals they care about. It is a way of interacting where people continually learn and evolve together, and where focus, achievement and genuine satisfaction can merge into the same experience on a daily basis.
Yet systems of work so easily create tension - eroding trust, generosity and connection. Why? And is it really as inevitable as many think it is?
ALL STAFF TRAINING
Systems and People in Flow - creating a connective mindset.
The aim of this all staff training and discussion session, is not only to ignite collaborative systems thinking, but to also create the right conditions for other connective solutions to have optimal impact.
If you are implementing important tech solutions, leadership/cultural training or want to drive key strategic objectives (especially ESG relevant objectives), this is a solid foundational piece to start with as it helps to create the conditions for collaboration and success across a group.
This session showcases the commonly misunderstood potential in engagement in company systems and initiatives. Far from dry, it challenges old norms and barriers to engagement, and leads the way to seeing the holistic nature and value of an organisation's systemic environment. This then creates a clear picture of how individual engagement creates improved outcomes for both the person and others, making collaborative action a desirable goal across the group.
INDIVIDUAL / LEADERS / ALL STAFF WORKSHOP
Seeing ourselves in System
A workshop session to explore the interaction between systemic context and the individual.
The aim is to provide new insights into why and how people respond to (often unintended) messaging in work contexts, and how this collectively either builds or erodes cultural outcomes in terms of trust, generosity and respect between people. It allows an objective bird's eye view, a calm assessment and a re-evaluation of what would otherwise be difficult topics to discuss openly, but which need attention to create solutions and ultimately an environment of dynamic collaboration.
DESIGN STAFF TRAINING
Safety in Design - Architects, Landscape Architects, Engineers.
Turning the commonly perceived burden of the legislated Safety in Design requirements on its head, this training focuses attention on the opportunity created for us to not only support safety, but to also help trigger 'next level' collaboration between consultant teams.
Includes a detailed look at an effective SID methodology which aligns sensibly and usefully with project stages and processes.
