THE MIA SAFETY IN DESIGN PROCESS SUITE

Based on years of research, development and implementation
in Australian design practices.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:
  • RETURNS POLICY: Digital products cannot be 'returned'. Please read the full Returns Policy provided at Checkout.
  • DOWNLOADS: You will be able to download the purchased documents once. Should you experience a problem with this, simply contact us and we will help. Also note that subsequent versions of the product(s) are not included in this purchase process.
  • FORMAT: The document set consists of one Word document (.docx), one Excel spreadsheet set (.xls) and one Adobe Acrobat document (.pdf).
  • FUNCTIONALITY: Additional functionality within the documents (hidden notes, formula's and check boxes) have been carefully set up and meticulously reviewed. Please note however that it is possible that some of these functions may behave differently in various software versions and/or user systems. Although rare, the check boxes in the Review Topics checklists may not immediately function as intended - when functioning properly, they can simply be 'ticked' with a left mouse click. Management in Action cannot control these outcomes and therefore does not guarantee their functionality. 'Troubleshooting' guidance is however provided in the Training Manual to assist and usually resolves the problem simply - in the case of the check boxes, these may need to be deleted and reinstated if causing problems. (A slow-opening document may also be caused by the high number of check boxes, but this tends to not be a problem once the document is open.)
  • GUIDANCE: All documents in this process suite have been carefully developed to be user friendly and provide a very high level of guidance to users. The included Training Manual also provides excellent insight into the overall process flow and use of the documents. It is therefore recommended that all documents and provided notes are carefully read by management and all users. Due to the likely variables in application and user experience and expertise, it may still be necessary for additional training to ensure optimised engagement and appropriate use of the Process Suite. The onus is on the purchaser and/or user to assess the need for guidance and training beyond what is provided within the documents.
  • COPYRIGHT: All supplied documents are copyrighted, are supplied for use within your organisation only and may not be transferred or supplied to any other organisations/entities (e.g. sub-consultants or members) for the same/similar use (although their contribution to content within these documents are of course possible). Adjustments made by the purchaser to these documents does not imply a change in these copyright conditions. With the exception of the Training Manual, these documents will of course need to be issued externally as part of project records, which needs to be done as PDF documents.
  • COMPANY LOGO: The original purchaser organisation logo and details should be added to all the pages intended for external issue (as indicated on the documents). Colours/fonts may be adjusted to suit your branding. Please retain the very small MIA Copyright references. It is strongly suggested that a MASTER COPY of the supplied set (in its original condition) is kept in a secure location on your server, in addition to the copy made available to staff.
  • COVER SHEETS: The Template Documents in the set each have a Cover Sheet for internal information only - these pages are not intended for external issue, as indicated on them.
  • DISCLAIMER: As noted on and referenced within the document set, the following applies: "The information in the supplied documents and all accompanying MIA information provided have been created following careful review and interpretation of relevant legislation, expert advice, industry practice and sample user preferences over several years. However, it is made available as an option for process support only and does not replace, reduce or negate the responsibility of the user to consider, understand, respond to and comply with legislative, client, project specific and any other relevant requirements to achieve desirable outcomes. Use of this document set confirms acceptance of these terms and that the author / seller is exempted from any responsibilities and results of the user’s professional actions and duties on projects as it may relate to the process advice given in the supplied documents. It remains the user’s responsibility to identify where adjustment, removal or addition to supplied process prompts and content may be required, during each individual application.  For Safety in Design legislative requirements relevant to the user's work, refer to the applicable local WHS/OHS Act and Regulations as well as the guidance provided in either the Safe Design of Structures Code of Practice (Safe Work Australia) or the WorkSafe Guide to Health and Safety by Design (WorkSafe, New Zealand), as may be relevant."
